The Litchville-Marion School District will hold it’s annual election on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at the Marion Community Hall in Marion, ND from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
There will be three positions on the Litchville-Marion School Board which are up for election – all are three year terms.
One director shall be from Geographical Area # 2, which is all the area that lies south of North Dakota Highway 46 and East of the West border of Prairie and Gladstone Townships. This position is currently held by Gary Karlgaard.
One director shall be from Geographical Area #6, which is all the area that lies within the Corporate Limits of the City of Litchville, also known as all of Section 25 and the South half of Section 24 in Rosebud Township and the West half of Section 30 and the Southwest quarter of Section 19 in Spring Creek Township. This position is currently held by Wayne Smith
One director shall be from Geographical Area #7, which is an at-large position, which will represent all the area from Geographical Areas 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. This position is currently held by Rhea Miller.
Any candidate for election as a member of the school board of the Litchville-Marion School District must be a resident of the geographical area he/she represents.
If interested in being a candidate, you must file with Cindy Vogel, Business Manager of the board, not less than sixty four (64) days before the election and before 4:00 p.m. on the sixty fourth day, a statement setting forth the candidate’s name and the position for which person is a candidate. The last day for filing for election on the school board is April 1, 2024.
